Social and Community Participation
IWCS will work to support you to Participate in social and community activities which may involves getting to know individuals who share your interests. Engaging in activities you find enjoyable while also going and doing as others do.
Maintaining and developing life skills that increases your independence.
- Learning and participating in meaningful leisure, recreational, social and cultural activities
- Having active and valued roles in the local community through participation and inclusion
- Expanding friendships and support networks.
Transport
You can travel safely and independently with the right supports and equipment. From home to any destination. Support includes however not limited to;
- driving to and from appointments,
- school,
- work,
- events,
- shopping etc
Our Day Programs
We offer a range of day programs across New South Wales that social, educational and skill-developing activities, such as:
- Art programs
- Cooking and gardening
- Outdoor games, gentle exercise and sports programs
- Technology skill building, drama and music programs
- Local community activities, such as going to the library, movies or volunteering.
